Negli ultimi anni, molte metodologie di ricerca innovative e le applicazioni cliniche di questi metodi ci hanno permesso di raggiungere importanti risultati nel campo della psicoterapia.

La ricerca neuroscientifica è diventata sempre più sofisticata e accurata, permettendo agli esperti di identificare nuove funzioni cerebrali e nuove interazioni tra aree cerebrali, ma gli studi clinici hanno anche testato le terapie più efficaci per affrontare la psicopatologia e promuovere il benessere psico-fisico del paziente.

La conoscenza che viene acquisita dai più avanzati studi di ricerca nelle neuroscienze sta ampliando notevolmente gli orizzonti della ricerca clinica. È possibile trattare il trauma in molti modi diversi in base alla personalità dell’individuo, alla genetica, agli aspetti comportamentali, cognitivi e culturali, ecc.

Oggi, i trattamenti che si basano sul concetto di trauma sono in grado di consolidare la loro efficacia sulla base delle ultime scoperte neuroscientifiche. Che si tratti degli effetti intergenerazionali degli eventi traumatici descritti dall’epigenetica o dei cambiamenti cerebrali indotti da interventi terapeutici, la correlazione tra studi clinici e ricerca apre la strada a nuovi risultati di trattamento che non sono stati pienamente esplorati, migliorando le possibilità di guarigione dalla psicopatologia.

Il 12° Congresso Internazionale sull’Attrazione e il Trauma, organizzato dall’Istituto per le Scienze Cognitive, offrirà l’opportunità di integrare gli aspetti più innovativi della ricerca neuroscientifica in interventi terapeutici efficaci. L’obiettivo del Congresso è quello di promuovere una migliore comprensione di come il trauma può influenzare gli individui e le comunità. Aiuterà le persone a capire come il trauma può influenzare intere comunità e come può essere riparato in modo duraturo.

Dopo due anni difficili causati dalla pandemia, il famoso Congresso Attraction and Trauma si terrà nuovamente a Roma, nel luogo in cui si riuniscono scienziati di fama mondiale per presentare gli ultimi risultati della ricerca neuroscientifica e della pratica clinica nel campo del trauma e dei disturbi dell’attacco.

In recent decades, the increasing synergy between increasingly innovative research methods-developed as a result of neuroscientific discoveries-and their respective clinical applications has contributed significantly to the realization of important advances in the field of Psychotherapy. While neuroscientific research has become increasingly sophisticated and precise, enabling Experts to identify new brain functions and new interactions between different areas of our brain, clinical studies, on the other hand, have examined both the possible fields of application of research and the most effective therapeutic interventions to address psychopathology and promote the psychophysical well-being of the individual.

Increasing knowledge regarding trauma and its effects not only on the brain, but also on the human being’s behaviors, emotions, cognitions and social interactions are greatly broadening horizons in both research and clinical settings, highlighting the need to conceive of the human being as a whole, as the result of the combination of life experiences, genetic predispositions, temperament, cultural and educational aspects.

Today, trauma-focused clinical interventions have the opportunity to consolidate their effectiveness based on the latest findings in neuroscience. From the intergenerational transmission of traumatic events described by Epigenetics to the brain changes induced by reparative therapeutic interventions, the correlation between clinical and research studies paves the way for new and as yet unexplored treatment outcomes, increasing the chances of recovery from psychopathology.

The 12th edition of the renowned “Attachment and Trauma” Congress, organized by the Institute of Cognitive Science, will provide an opportunity to integrate the most innovative aspects of neuroscience research studies with the most effective clinical interventions. In addition, the Congress will aim to foster a more focused understanding of how trauma can impair the healthy development not only of the individual but also of entire communities, and how it is possible to heal traumatic experiences in profound and lasting ways.

After two years marked by the difficulties caused by the pandemic, the “Attachment and Trauma” Congress finally returns to Rome: on the stage of the prestigious Auditorium Antonianum, just a few steps from the Colosseum, will once again rise internationally renowned Experts, ready to offer a comprehensive and varied overview of neuroscientific research and clinical practice in the field of the treatment of trauma and attachment disorders.

The Congress will also be streamed live, enabling online participation by all those who cannot (or prefer not to) attend in person. Video recordings of the Congress will be available for purchase on the Cognitive Science Institute website and accessible without time limit.
